Alan Ray Morris , 72, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida,  passed away at Vitas Hospice Suites at Tiffany Hall  in Port Saint Lucie on Monday, July 20, 2020.

Alan was born on Oct. 5, 1947 in Drexel Hill. Pennsylvania, and was a graduate of Overbrook High School. Alan retired from the Engineering Dept. of the US Postal Service.

Alan served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, on the USS Ticonderoga, and was a member of the American Legion Post #318, in Port Saint Lucie.

Alan and Mary left the Philadelphia area in 2010, and moved to Port Saint Lucie.

They spent their days kayaking, exploring the Treasure Coast area and roaming the Florida beaches.  Alan never missed going to LA Fitness every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Another of his favorite things to do was shopping on the internet for various electronic gadgets. Alan will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Edythe (nee) Levin.

Alan is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Mary F. Hannah-Morris  (nee) McCafferty; as well as his 3 step daughters, Mary Frances (Brian) Hesser, Michelle Alfakir, and Melinda (Jorge) Rodriguez.  Alan leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Rebecca, Michael (Nicolette), Jorge, Emily, Alexander, Brian, Joshua, Carrigan and Christopher; also 3 great-grandsons, Jorge, Grayson, and Dominik. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Regina); nephew, Brian and his niece, Montana. Alan will be greatly missed by his lifetime friends, Ivan Papurt and Jerry Lichterman.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that contributions as a memorial  be made to the Disabled American Veterans, in Alan's honor.
