Albert H. "Bert" Kraft, Jr. (96) passed away quietly at his home in Palm City, Florida, on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Bert was born in Detroit, Michigan, where he married his high school sweetheart Mildred Faulman and worked in the Design & Engineering Department of Ford Motor Company. He would use those skills during World War II while stationed in Hawaii.

After the war, Bert & Millie moved to Fort Lauderdale where they raised their family and, over the years, built several successful businesses including Kraft Landscape Nursery & Garden Center and Kraft Gardens, Inc. All their children, two son-in-laws and a grandson were active in the business.

In the late 1950's they started a family retreat in the North Carolina mountains which has turned into a family enterprise (Settler's Mountain, Inc.) which is still flourishing today.

Bert enjoyed his travels all over the world and his RV travels across the United States with both "his Millie's" but mostly he enjoyed time spent with his family.

Bert was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Mildred Faulman Kraft.

Survivors include daughter Karen Fell and husband David, son Kurt Kraft and wife Judi, son Kevin Kraft and fiance Fran, daughter Katherine Kraft Miller, grandson Alex Fell and wife Diana, grandson Adam Fell and wife Karen, grandson A.J. Kraft and fiance Dana, granddaughter Katie Kraft and fianc Mark, great-granddaughter Ava Fell, great-grandson Erik Fell and his long-time loving companion Mildred Hubbard.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 21st at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home. 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994
