Alfred Lewis Laidman, of Palm City, Florida passed away on January 2, 2024 at 93 years old.

Al married his childhood sweetheart, Virginia Stegemann Laidman (Geeg) later in life and they shared thirty-one wedded years together along with his new loving Florida family of daughters and sons; Jamie and Ron Burns, Bonnie and Roy MacDonald and Laurie and Ed Lorch along with their children, Justin Lorch and his wife Lisa, Rebecca Lorch and Michael Post.

Al is survived by his sons Gary Laidman of South Wales, NY and his wife, children and grandchildren and Steven Laidman of Fairfax, Vermont.  Al is also survived by his Nephew Robert Laidman, Jr and his wife Cricket of Palm City, FL along with many great nephews and nieces.

Al proudly served his country during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Airforce and mechanical instructor at Sheppard Airforce Base in Texas from 1950 -1954.  After returning to civilian life in Vermont, Al worked as a Railroad Engineer on the Central Vermont Railroad for forty years before retiring in 1989 and relocating to Stuart, Florida.

Words can never express our sorrow when saying our final farewell to our beloved Al. How do we thank Heaven for the time we had Al in our lives. The years may be many, but the time too short. So many happy memories of family time spent together, Al and his beloved Geeg, always with a smile and the laughter never ending. We'll keep all those memories and talk of them often, as we will forever cherish our pal Al.

Al will be interred at Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Randolph Center, Vermont.
