Alicia Velez Alers of Stuart, FL passed away 3/11/17.

Mrs. Alers b. 11/2/28 in her beloved Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Lived in New York for 35 yrs. where she was a school cafeteria manager for the Board of Education, and member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. Here in Stuart she lived at the Crossings and attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Her last days were spent at Rosewell Home and Residence before passing at Treasure Coast Hospice. A lifelong Yankees fan and avid dancer, Mrs. Alers loved her family, friends, traveling, reading and walking.

Predeceased by her husband of 45 yrs. Mariano Alers, daughter, Jeannette, and grandson Anthony. Mom to Wilson Alers (Wanda), Palm City and Mariano Alers II (Hilda) of Land O' Lakes. Grandmother to Michael (Suzette), Christopher, Alicia Maria Bond (Adam), Willie, Kydan, and Viviana. Great Grandmother to Aiden and Marlin James.

She will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer, Saturday, March 25 at 10 am followed by burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements handled by Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home.
