Andrew "Andy" E Dunlap
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Andy E. Dunlap, 80 years old, on May 15, 2016 at Tradition Medical Center. It is a joy to know he is in heaven with his Lord and Savior and has no more pain.
He was born in St Louis, Missouri on August 21, 1935.
His parents, Edith and Edward Dunlap, his twin sister, Agnes Hezel, his brother- in -law, Arnold Pierce, and son, Mark Dunlap, preceded him in death.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Malischka Dunlap, sister, Mary Ann Pierce, brother-in-law, Vic Hezel, daughter, Dawn Kearns and spouse Mike Kearns and stepson, DeWayne Carter and spouse, Laurie Carter.
Surviving him also are four grandchildren: Ashley McLean, Mariah Reinecke, Jacob Lee Mansker, Andrew C. Mansker and spouse Nicole Mansker. His great grandchildren are Kaylee M. Mansker. Kaiden Lee Mansker, and Paityn R. Ton.
Surviving him are his two nieces, Sue Ahner and Pam Sutphen, three nephews, Bradley Pierce, Doug Pierce, and Jim Hezel.
Andy attended Washington University and specialized in Marketing and Business Administration. His strengths were in the fields of Municipal Water Systems, Golf Systems, Fire Systems, Irrigation Systems, and sales of Packaged Systems.
Andy retired in 2002. In 2011 he was recruited by CETUSA (Council for Educational Travel, USA. He would recruit host families for foreign high school students in his retirement. The girls became a member of our family and he enjoyed taking them to plays, dinners, and boat rides. After they went back home they have taken time to keep in touch.
Andy served in the Army of the United States for two years beginning in February in 1954 with Honorable Discharge.
Andy loved his fellow man. If, he knew you had a problem and needed help he was always there for you. He was generous with his time and money. He never met a stranger and he loved to make you smile. He was your friend forever.
Andy was a firm believer in safe boating and was a member of the Port St Lucie Power Squadron for 15 years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Port St Lucie. A service and celebration of life will be held May 28, 2016 at 10:00a.m at First Presbyterian Church, 2240 SE Walton Road, Port St Lucie, Florida 34952 with military honors.
