Andrew R. Rocheford, 82, of Stuart, Florida, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his home.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he had been a resident of the Twin Lakes Community in Stuart, since 1986, coming from River Plaza, New Jersey.
A Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army, he was stationed in Germany, and was a member of the VFW Post #1032 in Hobe Sound, Florida.
A Union Carpenter by trade, working in New Jersey, and in the Twin Lakes Community, he was a former member of Union Hall #2250 in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Andy was an exempt Fireman, having more than twenty years of dedicated service with the River Plaza Hose Company #1.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Harriet A. Rocheford, of Stuart; two sons, Drew T. Rocheford, and his wife, Kelly, of Casselberry, Florida, and Glenn R. Rocheford, and his wife, Dorie, of Stuart; one daughter, Doreen W. Collins, and her husband, Thomas of Stuart; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag will take place on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:30 am at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
