Angelo J. Casertano, 93, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he had been a resident of Palm City for two years, coming from Bay Shore, New York.
A Veteran of World War II, he served as a member of the United States Army and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Ann Casertano of Palm City; three children, Martha Marcantonio and her husband, Frank of Monroe, Connecticut, Anthony Casertano and his wife, Anita of Ridgewood, New Jersey, and Marie Madden and her husband, Kevin of Palm City; one sister, Teresa Galbo of Sayville, New York; eight grandchildren, Andrew and his wife, Rachael, Brian and his wife, Tracy, Craig, Matthew and his wife, Megan, Michael, Christopher and his wife, Michelle, Kevin, and Melissa and her husband, Dillon; and five great-grandchildren, Jack, Sean, Emily, Brooke, and Tyler.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 3-6:00 pm at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, where a Wake Service will take place at 3:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 5th at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, Florida.
Burial with Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag will take place that afternoon at 2:15 pm at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
