Anna May Joan Fisk, 86 of Stuart passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Salerno Bay Manor in Stuart under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice.
Born August 5, 1930 in Jamaica, Queens, New York; she was the daughter of George and Anna (nee Tucker) Hawkins. Joan and her husband were winter visitors to the Treasure Coast for three years, moving to Stuart permanently 25 years ago from Newport, RI.
She was a loving wife and mother, taking care of the home and family and also worked a variety of clerical jobs. Joan was a Kelly Girl for over 10 years, a receptionist for SEA Corp in Newport, RI and a clerk for seven years with the Martin County Clerk of Court's office.
Joan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart; she was a member of Columbiettes of Martin County and was a past Chapter President.
She enjoyed golf, bowling and horses.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Miles B. Fisk; beloved children, Michael Fisk, Eileen Fisk-Dawes, Patricia Fisk; cherished grandchildren, Margaret "Peggy", John, Miles, Jordan, Alexia, Ian, Samantha; great grandchildren; and brother, George Hawkins.
Joan was preceded in death by daughters, Deboranne and Margaret; grandson, Miles; brothers, Jack and Donald; and sister, Maureen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Friday, September 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart.
