Annamae Staples Tolson, 92, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at her home in Stuart, FL.
Born in Boston, MA, on April 5, 1921, she lived most of her life in Quincy and Braintree, MA. She had been a resident of Stuart for the last 20 years.
She graduated from Quincy High School and Bryant and Stratton Secretarial School in Boston. Subsequently she worked as Executive Secretary for the Vice President of the Quincy Oil Company in Quincy. She spent her married life as a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, involving herself in her children's activities and school life.
She is survived by her son, Jack Tolson, of Quincy; her daughter, Carol Calder, and son-in-law, Bob, of Stuart; and 5 nephews and 1 niece.
Annamae was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John E. Tolson. She was also predeceased by her brother, Alfred J. Staples, and sister-in-law, Mary Staples.
A Memorial Mass and Reception will be celebrated at a later date in Massachusetts.
