Anne M. Desjarlais' Obituary
Anne Hroszowyc Desjarlais, 76, of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Born in Blackstone, Massachusetts and known as Lala to her family, she graduated from St Mary's High School in 1956. Anne earned a Masters in Mathematics, Cum Laude and furthered her education earning a Masters in Early Child Development. Anne was an advocate for children, educating parents with disabled children to develop their motor skills and habits necessary to enter school while working for Rhode Island Family and Child Services. Anne later worked with the state of Connecticut - opening their first charter school.
Anne was a devoted wife and mother. Anne and her husband Eugene moved to Florida in 1989. She concluded her professional career as an IRS Revenue Officer in the Offers and Compromise Division.
Anne enjoyed sewing, walking, a nature lover, swimming, traveling and golf. She was a member of St Christopher's Catholic Church. She valued time spent with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Anne lovingly leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Eugene Desjarlais and their six children Christine Bergmann of Chandler AZ, Henry Desjarlais North Carolina, Susan Desjarlais of Hobe Sound FL, James Desjarlais of Medway MA, Lisa Amaral of East Greenwich RI and Jeri Anne Beckwith of Adams MA. Grandchildren: Jamie, Tracey, Drew, Bryan, Alexandria, Samantha, Ashleigh, Jacob, Cameron and Haley. Great Grandchildren: Nolan, Jamisen and Violet. Many neices and nephews. Her brother Stanley and sisters Mary Provost, Teresa Debigare, and Dorothea Holden.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents John and Stephania Zariczny- Hrosszowyc and brothers John, Michael, Peter and Joseph.
A celebration of Anne's life will be held in New England in the springtime at the families convenience.
In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997
