Anthony M. Dell Obituary
Anthony "Tony" M. Dell, age 88, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Thursday November 20, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Syracuse, NY, Tony resided in the Syracuse area until 2005 when he retired to the warm breezes of Florida. Growing up, Tony was an avid Boy Scout, advancing to the level of Eagle Scout. He spent many cherished summers at Camp Woodland in Constantia, N.Y. and reminisced about those times throughout his life. After attending Central Tech High School he would go on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, advancing to the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his enlistment he took part in 1958's Operation Blue Bat; which was the Lebanon crisis. After his enlistment he moved back to Syracuse, attended Syracuse University and worked at Syracuse China. While working as a supervisor at Syracuse China he met and fell in love with his wife of 63 years, Catena "Tina" Dell. After the wedding he would go on to a long career with Crucible Steel and would finish his working career as a Realtor in the Syracuse area. Tony and Tina retired to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2005 where he enjoyed his family time, reading great books, traveling to different locations around the world, going to plays at the local playhouses and listening to his favorite music.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Francis C. Dell and his mother, Helen Jane Brown Dell. He is survived by his wife, the former Catena LaSpina of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sons, Christopher J. (Paula) Dell of Cocoa, FL and Timothy M. Dell of Port St. Lucie, FL ; two grandchildren; Sean Dell of Uniontown, PA and Brianna Dell of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a brother, John G. Dell of Key West, FL.
The family would like to thank the staffs of the Ardie R. Copas State Veteran's Nursing Home in Port St. Lucie, FL and Treasure Coast Hospice- Lynch Pavillion for their professional and compassionate care during Tony's final months and days.
There will be no calling hours, and burial services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ardie R. Copas State Veteran's Nursing Home and Treasure Coast Hospice of Fort Pierce, Florida by contacting the facilities directly.
