Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Francis DiVita, 89, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Saint Lucie Medical Center in Port Saint Lucie.

Born in New York City, New York, he had been a longtime Florida resident living in Brookdale at Port Saint Lucie the last three years.

A Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army, he graduated from Fordham University in New York after his service.

Prior to retirement he was a Social Worker for Catholic Charities in New York and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in New York.

Survivors include one sister, Barbara D. Marchese of Baldwin, Long Island, New York; four nieces; and two nephews.

He was preceded in Death by his brother Gaetano J. DiVita and his sister Angelina Vagnone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church, 280 SW Prima Vista Boulevard, Port Saint Lucie, where Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag by the United States Army Military Honor Guard will immediately follow at the church.

Inurnment with his brother will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Saint Petersburg, Florida.
