Arij de Ligt, 84, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at his home.

Born in Vlaardingen, Netherlands, he had been a resident of Stuart for 6 years coming from Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

He was the Vice President of International Sales for Brakequip in Alcoa, Tennessee at the time of his death. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Stuart Rod and Reel Club.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Andrea de Ligt of Stuart; two sons, Willem de Ligt of Colorado and Wouter de Ligt and his wife, Jill of North Carolina; his  daughter, Maggie Fabian of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kimberly Forrester an her husband Jeremy, Christine Newland and her husband Bryson, and Elizabeth Welch and her husband A.J. ; great-grandchildren, Christian, Dawson, Madison, Brooke, and Beau.

He is also survived by his sister, Griney Koster and her husband Yong, of Rijen, Netherlands, where he has many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart.
