Armando Farina

(June 16, 1919 – October 1, 2019)

Al (Armando) Farina of Hobe Sound, Florida went home to Jesus on October 1, 2019.  He was 100 years old.

Al was born in Newark, New Jersey on June 16, 1919 to his father, Michael Farina and his mother Anna Ambrose.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Josie and Millie and his brother Lou.  Al served in the Airforce from the early 1940's  - 1945, when the war ended.  He earned his "wings"  as a flight engineer  and navigator in 1945.   Al was stationed at Randolph Airforce Base in San Antonio Texas.  Al met Freda in Jersey City, New Jersey where they eloped 6 months later then married in a church 1 ½ years later.  They celebrated their 78 year anniversary on May 14, 2019.

Al and Freda started  their family in 1945 and resided with their 4 children in New Jersey until they moved to Jupiter Florida in 1973.  Al was a successful businessman who never truly retired.

He enjoyed flying, boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife Freda, his brother Joe, his 4 children; Diane, Carolyn, Michele and Linda, his 12 grandchildren; Michael, Jimmy, Kimmy, Justin W, Channing, Kaitlyn, Erin, Justin M, Ali, Maddie, Brooke and Kailee and 6 great grandchildren; Natalie, Chelsey, James, Kiley, Bryce and Adelynn, and his 5 son-in-laws; Jack, Brian, Dan, Joey and Todd.

Visitation Sunday, October 6 at 2:00pm followed by service at 3:00 pm at The Grace Place, 1550 SE Salerno Road, Stuart.
