Arthur William Kehlhem born August 17,1937 left us July 9,2022. He lost his battle against a spinal cord injury.
He attended Eastern Military Academy on Long Island, NY and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. He worked for Exxon Chemical Corporation for over 40 years and traveled the country to build a very successful career until he retired in 1999. He was born in Manhattan, NY; grew up in Wantagh, NY; and lived in Port Jefferson, NY, Franklin, MA and Akron, OH. Most recently, he was a resident of Palm City, FL for the last 23 years.
He is predeceased by his wife Tacie, son Gregory, and sister Nancy (Bill). He leaves behind his 2 sons, Arthur Jr. (Lyn) and Douglas (Marshalee), his brother Marc (Mary), stepchildren, Linda (Jim) and Bill. He had 14 grandchildren (Evan, Matthew, Marshall, Greg, Tim, Rob, Tori, Tacie, Thomas, Jeremy, Ben, Dorotha, Sami, Will), and 12 great grandchildren.
He was an avid golfer, Ohio State University fan, and fan of all New York and Cleveland sports teams. He coached Little League baseball and Pop Warner football and was proud of his two town league championships in baseball. He was a member of Palm City Presbyterian Church. He loved having lunch to talk with friends and family, playing golf, travelling with his friends and sitting in his "as neat as a pin" garage looking out upon the neighborhood to find a person to talk to and kid around with. Art will be greatly missed by his dear friends, neighbors, church, and loving family.
