Barbara Michaelene “Bobbie” Christ Giconi, age 96, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 4, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bobbie devoted her life to her family and friends. She married Dino Richard “Dick” Giconi on February 16, 1949, and together they raised their family in Dormont, Castle Shannon, and Peters Township, PA and later Plantation and Lake Placid, Florida. 

Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Altar Society at St. Benedict Catholic Church in McMurray, PA and later worked as a relocation specialist after earning her Florida real estate license.

She found joy in gardening, genealogy, sculpting, pottery, art, Mahjong, and audiobooks. Her greatest happiness came from bringing family together for holidays and celebrations. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Giconi; granddaughter Laura Jean Flanagan; her parents, Celia Rose and John L. Christ; her brothers, John, Richard, and David Christ; and her sister, Audrey Christ Markey.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Christ Hatala; her children, Joan Giconi Mullens (Michael), Richard John Giconi (Bonnie Rice), Jean Rose Giconi Flanagan (Harvey Schneider), and Juliet Marie Giconi Gomez (Frank); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Mario Giconi and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bobbie’s love, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

Cremation has been entrusted to Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, Stuart, Florida. Our mom has requested that no formal services be arranged.
