Barbara L. Newton, 89, of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2019 at Martin Nursing and Rehabilitation, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Endwell, New York, she had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 1 year coming from Hancock, New York.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Hobe Sound Bible Church.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Stanton and Mark Stanton of Hobe Sound, Brenda Rood and her husband Tony of Hancock, NY, and Beth Crandall of Grass Creek, NC; her step-children, Danny Newton and his wife Sharon of Shelby, IN and Beth Layton of Harpursville, NY; her sister Joan Newberry and husband George of Carlisle, PA, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Stanton, Sr. and Charles Newton; her son Richard Stanton, Jr. and her step-sons, Chuckie Newton Jimmy Newton and Paul Newton.
