Benjamin "Trey" Southerland Symons III was born on March 16, 1971 in West Palm Beach, Florida , to his loving parents Benjamin "Skip" Southerland Symons Jr . and Gloria Barber Symons. He is survived by his wife, Lauri Symons, his children Johnathon and Hannah Symons, and his stepchildren Cody and Amanda Moral. He also leaves behind his mother, Gloria Barber Callo , his siblings Courtney Walton, Patrice Symons, Chris ( Alisia ) Symons, Gabrielle Pohle , Heather (Jeff) Harvey, and Brandyn Stewart, and by his nephews Christopher Symons and Joseph Stewart Jr . Trey was preceded in death by this father, Skip Symons in 2005 and by his stepfather , Thomas Joseph Callo in 1997.
Trey worked for over 30 years as a construction manager in the high voltage elect rical construction industry. He enjoyed airboating , fishing, and riding motorcycles . He was a loyal fan of the Miami Hurricane s. His favorite movie was "On Golden Pond." He committed his spare time to scouting (a nd was awarded the 2017 Sailfish District Cub Scout Service Spark Plug Award), and h e volunteered extensively for Florida Troup #0811 , Boys Scouts of America . He also ushered for many years at TC3 Church in Stuart, Florida.
Our beloved T rey was an immensely kind, encouraging and calming force i n the lives of everyone he knew. The greater your bond with Trey, the greater the impact he would have up on your life. He carried laughter and goodwill with him wherever he went. His charm was undeniable . People were drawn to his welcoming presence and winning smile. He lifted everyone up in his own unique and magical way. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker you could ever ho p e for . He was irreplaceable . Nevertheless , we will honor him by conducting o ur lives with his character as a shining example .
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at TC3 Church, 20 NE Dixie Highway, Stuart, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Trey's memory be made to Florida Troup 811 , Boy Scouts of America, c/o American Legion Post 126 , 3195 NE Savannah Rd . , Jensen Beach , FL 34957 ( https://donations.scouting.org/#/national).
