Billy R. Raymond, 68, of Indiantown, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
Born June 11, 1947 in Fleming-Neon, KY, he was the son of Henry Adams and Goldie Goldie Mullens.
He entered the U. S. Air Force in September 1966 and served four years. Billy was discharged from the USAF at McChord AFB, Tacoma, WA and moved to Florida.
He worked at Pratt Whitney as a jet engine mechanic and later at the Indiantown Post office as a clerk. Billy and his son-in-law, Mike Berger, owned and operated B & M Repair in Indiantown for 11 years.
Billy became a musician while he was in high school. His love of music continued throughout his adult life playing with several bands around Martin County.
Billy enjoyed shooting pool, being with his family and friends and barbques.
He was a Baptist and member of VFW Post 6023 in Indiantown.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara S. Raymond of Indiantown; children, Kimberlee Raymond Berger and Billy R. Raymond of Indiantown; sister, Linda Raymond Summerall of London, KY; and two grandchildren, A. J. Berger and Emily Berger.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 PM, June 11, 2016 at Family Worship Center, Indiantown, FL. Military honors will be provided by U. S. Air Force.
