Our beloved "Soulie" passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 10 ^th .  Soulie had battled long chronic illnesses, and left her mortal body just as she wanted, comfortably in her 'cozy bed' at her home in her beloved Florida.

Soulie was born in 1939 in York, Pa to Robert Patterson Turner, Jr. and Josephine Vesper Turner. She had a wonderful life full of interests, adventures and love.

Soulie always loved to learn from her three room elementary school Grantley Elementary to National Cathedral School for Girls, Sarah Lawrence College and La Sorbonne.  She cherished her time and the lifelong relationships she developed at each. As her National Cathedral friend Woo reminisced; " We accepted her into our group because she could squirt water from her teeth for an amazing distance. Her sense of humor was unmatched!" and persisted throughout her life.

In her junior year abroad, Soulie met and then married Frenchman, Jean Jacques Rasquin at St Germain de Pres, in Paris in 1961. They lived together for 10 years in small village outside Paris, where she grew much of her own food, and raised two children, Annie and Ollie, amongst the ruins, ducks and chickens. Soulie returned to York, Pa in 1971 where she met and married Pete Fox, a widower with four children, Michael, Tom, Kathleen and Sean, whom she cherished as her very own.

Soulie, had a full and long professional life, and was proud to have broken gender barriers in the finance field. In France, she had a translating business and her clients included Dun and Bradstreet. When she returned to York, she worked for an Economic Employment Opportunity agency and the Community Progress Council, before being hired as one of the first female managers for Household Finance Corporation where she received the National Manager of the Year award during her tenure, retiring in 1992.

In 2003 she moved to Palm City, Florida where she loved living. Soulie best loved the sunny climate and the warmth of people there.  This is evidenced by the many friends and deep relationships that she  made.

Our Soulie, was an extrovert, full of humor, and warmth. She made friends with everybody! The communities and fierce cohorts of women friends she had here filled her days with geniality, humor, and fun. Soulie was very involved in her community, believed in philanthropy and for many years was an active member of the Junior League of York, and the Rotary Club of Harrisburg. Soulie's many interests included world travel with her adventuresome girlfriends, golf, tennis, cooking, painting with a dear local group, literature and the iconic Brandeis Book Club.

She is survived by her children Tom Fox and his wife Bobbie Fox, Kathleen Gabrielski and her husband Ed Gabrielski, Annie Rasquin, Olivier Rasquin, and Sean Fox and his wife Abby Fox, her grandchildren Gabriel Fox, Elly Fox, Natalie Fox, Jonathan Fox, Josephine Fox, Christopher Gabrielski, Molly Kreitman, Ethan Kreitman, her great-grandchildren, her beloved sister Peggy Fink and brother Robert P Turner and her sister-in-law Jacki Turner and her nieces and nephews Kim, Gabrielle, Robert and Eleanor. Soulie was preceded in death by the loves of her life, including her two husbands Jean Jacques Rasquin and Francis (Pete) Fox.   Archie Rizzo introduced her to Martin Downs and the best street in America.

Soulie was sadly preceded in death by her son Michael Fox, grandsons Eddie Gabrielski and Cody Hite, along with her nephew Eric Fink who all still live in our hearts.

The family will hold a memorial "celebration of her life" later this summer in Stuart, Florida. Soulie's family and her many friends will be welcomed to join. Contributions can be made in her honor to Sarah Lawrence College or the Treasure Coast Brandeis Book Fund.
