Burlin David "John" Roberts, 85 of Stuart, Florida, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.
Born in Madison County, North Carolina, he had been a resident of Stuart since 1971, coming from Allen Park, Michigan.
He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #126 in Jensen Beach and also a member of the Stuart Moose Lodge.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft and Florida Steel. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing in Florida, and also had a "Green Thumb" ,always keeping his lawn and garden around his home a showplace in their neighborhood.
John is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Nenita R. "Rosie" Roberts, of Stuart; and his daughter, Rhonda Sedlock and her husband, Greg, also of Jensen Beach.
Interment with Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at one o'clock in the afternoon at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
