Carlton Don Panhorst, known as Don to his family and friends, passed away in Stuart, Florida, on September 16, 2024, at the age of 88.  He was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on May 3, 1936, and spent much of his life in St. Louis, Missouri, before retiring full-time to Stuart in 2015.

Don was loving, wise, independent, and responsible. He had a strong moral compass. He loved playing golf, spending time behind the wheel of a fine car, dancing with his beloved wife, keeping an eye on the financial markets, and fixing whatever needed fixing.

Prior to retiring, Don graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1964 and had a diverse career in accounting and management.

Don is survived by his loving family including his wife, Ann; daughters, Lisa Kasney, Molly Clipp, Candace Hooker, and Sarajane Richter; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Panhorst.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2450 SE Ocean Blvd, Stuart, Florida 34996.
