IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol J
Wisnoski
January 6, 1933 – January 21, 2024
Carol Joyce (Weston) Wisnoski, 91, of Jensen Beach, Florida died peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida. She was born on January 6, 1933 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Deane William Weston (formerly known as William Ebenezer Cobb) and the former Caroline P. Cepelik of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She spent her summers as a child and young adult in the Ottawa Forrest in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at a fishing and hunting camp her parents owned where she often came in contact with all sorts of wildlife, including black bears and whitetail deer. She married John ("Buddy") William Wisnoski in 1955 and together they had two children, Daniel James (Ellen) of Boca Raton, Florida and Lisa Ann (Jeffrey) Robbins of Jensen Beach. She was predeceased by both of her parents, eight siblings and by her husband in 2017.
Carol and Buddy moved to Ft. Lauderdale from West Allis, Wisconsin in 1959 where they lived and reared their family in Plantation, Florida. Carol enjoyed a career as a medical transcriptionist/practice manager for a radiology group for nearly 30 years. While there, she met her best and most loyal friend, Suzi Troxell, who remained a loving presence in her life until the very end. While still in Plantation, Carol and Buddy happily welcomed all seven of their grandchildren into their lives. They spent summers together in Vanderbilt Beach, Florida enjoying waverunning, laying in the sun, watching gorgeous sunsets, playing cards, and fishing. They later bought a little beach home in Jensen Beach, Florida in 1972 which they visited often and retired to in 2007.
Carol is survived by her loving children Daniel and Lisa, along with 7 grandchildren - Lauren (Mark) Kukkamaa of Jupiter; Jennifer (Scott Hengst) Wisnoski of Boca Raton; Kathryn (Jason) Beck of Orlando; Kirstyn (Johnny) Grandinetti of Sunrise; Lilian Robbins of Ft. Lauderdale; Michaela (Tony) Uanino of West Palm Beach; and John Wisnoski of Boca Raton. Additionally, she is survived by 12 great grandchildren, Lila and Maelie Beck, Hank and Mimi Kukkamaa, Haven and Luca Grandinetti, Logan, Ava and Emma Uanino, and Colton, Cash and Charley Hengst, in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carol was an active and faithful member of Westgate Baptist Church, West Hollywood Baptist Church, and the Nettles Island Church where she taught Sunday School, served as President of the Women's Fellowship Group, and was a faithful student of the Word. In her later years she enjoyed cooking and baking for a ministry to the unhoused community and together with her husband participated in a prayer ministry. She liked playing cards and enjoyed being a part of the Nettles Island community. In 2022, Carol moved to The Cabana at Jensen Dunes in Jensen Beach, FL and made many friends while enjoying arts, crafts, exercise, and happy hour.
Carol is remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren for ending every visit with a "bushel and a peck and a hug around the k'neck!" She loved deeply, and was loved in return by all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of faith and family which will continue to live on in the lives of her family for generations. She finished her race with perseverance and valor and was welcomed into glory by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she worshiped and loved with all her heart.
The family plans on holding a private celebration of life where she will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, beside her husband, John, whom she missed dearly every day but is now walking hand in hand with in glory. In lieu of donations, the family requests that you visit an elderly neighbor or friend and give them the gift of your time and company.
