Charles William Geiger

Charles William (Bill) Geiger, age 93, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away December 13, 2019.

Bill was born in Wildwood, N.J. on July 22, 1926 to William Geisenberger and Amalie Redmer.

After graduating from high school;  he served in the U.S. Army where he fought in Germany and earned a Army of Occupation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.  After he was discharged, he attended two years of college at Glassboro State Teacher's College and two years at Ryder College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree.

After graduating college, he went to work at Aetna Insurance in Philadelphia where he met his future wife Nancy Johnson.  They had three children together, Robert Geiger, James Geiger (Elizabeth), Linda Courtney (James).

In 1985 he married Jo Anne Florence whose children, David Florence, Carol Florence and Karen MacNamee, became his beloved step children.

Bill's favorite pastimes were fishing with his dog, antiquing, refinishing furniture and attending church with Jo Anne.

Survivors include adult children and grandchildren, William and Sarah Geiger, McKenzie Geiger, Caitlin MacNamee (Victor), Nicole MacNamee.

Military graveside service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.  Service Pending.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
