Obituary

Charles Anthony Bovino - born July 27, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, sadly passed away August 5, 2024 at the age of 84 in Jupiter, Florida.
Survived by his wife Janice L (Buhlert), leaving behind his children: Scott (Jana) Bovino, Nicole (James) Barnett, Julie (Keith) Lefkowitz/Ostrander, Bonnie Lefkowitz and 4 grandchildren: Alexandra, Samantha, Joshua and Zachary and his sister Marie (Ted) Livesay and Brother Paul (Debbie) Gloeggler/Brown plus their children.
Charles received his Bachelor of Science at University of Wisconsin and Bachelor of Laws at New York University. He was an attorney associate with Arthur M Waldman New York City, division counsel with Litton Industries, New York City and held various legal positions to the assistant general counsel at Hertz Corporation from 1972 to 1983. Charles was senior vice president at Avis, Inc., Garden City, New York from 1983 until he retired in 1996. While at Avis, he was on the board of directors executive committee, and a member of the employee stock ownership plan administrative committee.
Charles was a generous, kind, caring and loving father and very proud of his children. He enjoyed spending time with his son and hearing of his latest work endeavors, being with "his girls" (as he referred to them), his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He studied opera at Juilliard and had a love and appreciation for music from classical to Pink Floyd. He was an artist, a precision target shooter, a gardener, a writer and collector of the unusual and finer things in life. He had a brilliant mind, was a true gentleman and all-around Renaissance Man who will be sorely missed by all whose life he may have touched.
A mass will be held at St. Kilian Church in Farmingdale, NY on Tuesday, August 13 at 11am followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum also located in Farmingdale, NY. A celebration of life will take place in Jupiter at a later date.
