Charles Joseph
Bryan
September 18, 1940 – April 5, 2023
Charles Joseph Bryan, known as "Joe", was born in Teaneck, New Jersey in 1940. Third of eleven children, his family moved to North Miami, Florida when he was six months old. He attended HolyFamily Catholic Church and later became an Altar Boy. One of his first jobs was delivering telegrams
on his Piaggio scooter, later he worked as a beach boy on Miami Beach. At 16 he worked with a linecrew as an electrical apprentice until he joined the Navy in 1957. Joe served four years in the Navy,his last two years on the USS Shangri-La, an aircraft carrier taking him worldwide. At eighteen he married while still in the service. Over the next ten years he and his wife Sharon had three boys. When he returned to Florida in 1961, he resumed his career in the electrical field.
After four years of apprenticeship, he formed his own electrical contracting business. While working on Hutchinson Island in the late 70's Joe and his family fell in love with the area and relocated to Jensen Beach in 1979. Joe soon developed a passion for real estate, buying land and eventually developing property. He and his wife built their dream home on the St. Lucie River in 1991.
Joe enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, fishing and tennis. He was committed to his spirituality and support of others
until his death on April 5, 2023 at age 82. His spirit, love and guidance will be extremely missed by his wife, Sharon, his sons, Charles Joseph Jr., John Christopher and James Craig, his three granddaughters, Alexandra, Danielle and Autumn and his grandson Ethan who awaits his arrival. Joe will be missed by his surviving sisters and brothers all living in Florida, Patricia Priester, Kathy Belch, Michael Bryan and Bill Bryan.
A celebration of his life will be held On Friday April 14th at 1:00 PM at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home.
