Charles E. DeGaust, 74, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Parkway Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stuart, Florida.
Born in New York City, New York, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 20 years, coming from his birthplace.
Charles proudly served his country as a United States Marine.
Prior to his retirement he was a Police Officer with the City of New York.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Nancy Geraldi, of Long Beach, New York, and Barbara Green, of Jacksonville, Florida; and neighbor, good friend, and caretaker, Joe R. Ball, of Hobe Sound.
Services and Interment will be at the convenience of the family from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory of Stuart.
