Charles G. Mudge, age 82 of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 27, 2013. He was born September 29, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ at Christ's Hospital, son of the late Gordon and Lillian (Kerns) Mudge. Along with his wife, Charlie moved from Avon, CT. to the Palm City area in 1996. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict serving in Fairbanks, Alaska. Before retirement he sold commercial advertising for Thomas Publishing Company. He also worked for Capewell Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Ct. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Vermont and was a member of Laurel Oak Country Club in New Jersey, Farmington Woods Country Club in Avon, Ct and Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Valerie Mudge of Palm City; his daughters, Kathryn J. Paradee of Gardiner, ME, and Nancy M. Mudge of Palm City; his son, Gordon C. Mudge of Voorhees, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Danny Paradee, Rebecca Paradee, Kristine Mudge and Eric Mudge. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on July 13, 2013, 11:00a.m. at Palm City Presbyterian Church (2700 SW Martin Hwy; Palm City, FL 34990). Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997). Arrangements are by the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, FL.
