Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Edward Olney of Stuart, Florida passed away on Monday March 19, 2018.

He was born is Fall River, Massachusetts and grew up in the nearby town of Rehoboth.

He attended UMASS earning a BA in Economics.  He went on to earn his law degree from Suffolk Law School and then his Masters of Law in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.    He served his country honorably in Japan as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Before moving to Florida in 2014, he lived in Edgecomb, Maine for 22 years with his family.  He was an avid gardener, loved sailing on his boat "The CHRISMAR", was active in his church and local town government.  After retiring as an estate planner, he worked at a local middle school in the Special Ed Department assisting struggling students.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Madeline (Barone) Olney; his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Emily of Arlington, Virginia; and his daughter, Margaret of Idaho Springs, Colorado.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Stuart Congregational Church, 3110 SE Aster Lane, Stuart, on Saturday March 24th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial may be made to the Stuart Congregational Memorial Fund.
