Christian G. Schmidt "Chris Crash" age 71 of Stuart, Florida passed away in his home on August 13, 2019.  Chris is survived by his lovely wife, Joan Schmidt, of 32 years, his daughter Kristen, grandson Luke, stepchildren and grandchildren.

Chris was born in Dallas, Texas and has been a resident of Stuart, Florida for 40 plus years.  Chris was a huge part of the Stuart community and was very active in preserving Stuart's historic district and was very passionate in collecting artifacts.

Chris was very well known in the Stuart community and his friends and family always referred to Chris as the "unofficial mayor of Stuart".  His loss has created an incredible void in the Stuart community. Chris's love and passion for life was felt by anyone he was ever in contact with.

A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 10:30 A.M. at the Rocks. All are welcome to celebrate what a wonderful human this man was.
