Clara Frances Alli passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19th at Solaris Healthcare Parkway with her family at her bedside. She was 93.

Clara was born in Denver, Colorado to Louis Teresi and Frances DeCarlo, but was mostly raised in Buffalo, New York. She was an excellent student and graduated at the age of 16 from Grover Cleveland High School. When she was 18 her cousin introduced her to the love of her life, Anthony Alli. While Tony was serving his country during World War II, she aided the war effort by working in an airplane factory. They married on March 9, 1944 and settled in Tonawanda, New York after the war ended to raise their growing family.

Clara was a very talented seamstress who could make everything from prom gowns for her daughters to many items for her home. She and Tony often combined their talents, crafting gifts for family and friends. She loved to cook and to bake, and her delicious cakes and pies will be long remembered. She was an avid reader, music and movie lover, and an enthusiastic game player. She rejoined the work force when her children were old enough and enjoyed her years working in the furniture sales office for Sattler's Department Store and later in the insurance industry.

She loved her children and grandchildren above all else and was happiest when entertaining them in her home, or visiting them in theirs. She and Tony traveled extensively and were thrilled to have visited Europe and Asia, and to have explored the US from coast-to-coast. They traveled by car, boat and airplane, and relished the new experiences they enjoyed together.

In 2002 Clara finally convinced Tony to leave Buffalo for the Sunshine State and they made the move to Port Saint Lucie. While living there, Clara volunteered in the local library and with the Women's Guild at Saint Lucie Catholic Church. As Clara's dementia worsened, she and Tony sold their home and moved to Ocean Palms retirement community in Stuart, Florida.

Clara lost her beloved Tony - her husband of 72 years - on November 19, 2016, exactly two months before she passed. She is survived by her grieving children, Karen Hogan (Robert) of Palm City, Florida, David Alli (Rita) of Seattle, Washington, Susanne Frances of Palm City, Florida and Francine Lata (Paul) of Castle Rock, Colorado. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and three of her five sisters.

Clara and Tony were inseparable in life and they will be buried together, and celebrated with a joint service on May 19, 2017. Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church in Palm City before internment at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
