Cologera "Carrie" A. Mitrey, 68, of Saint Lucie West in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Affectionately known as Carrie, she was born in Buffalo, New York, and had been a resident of Saint Lucie West since 2004, coming from Stony Brook, Long Island, New York.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Robert J. Mitrey, of Saint Lucie West; two daughters, Lynette A. Geyer, and her husband, Troy, of Wantagh, New York, and Alicia F. Mitrey, and Bobby, of Ronkonkoma, New York; one sister, Frances V. Mitrey, and her husband, Fred, of Saint Lucie West; and four grandchildren, Noah, and Joshua Geyer, William Mitrey, and November Stevens.
A Celebration of Carrie's Life and Reception for family and friends will be held at her home on Saturday, January 24th, from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Contributions as a Memorial may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
