Dan William Gibson, 61, of Palm City, Florida died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice, in Stuart, Florida.

Mr. Gibson was born in Dayton, Ohio, and has been a Florida resident for 11 years. He was a world traveler, scuba diver, singer/song-writer and entertainer.

Dan played Simon Zealotes in the Broadway Production of Jesus Christ Superstar, and in the travelling production across the United States in the early 1970's. Dan last sang and played guitar at various local nursing facilities. His genre was spiritual/Christian based.

Survivors include his beloved fiance, Elizabeth Ann Seiler and her children Julia Lynn Seiler and Bennett James Seiler of Palm City, FL; brother, Richard Gene Gibson, Jr. of Englewood, OH; sister, Patricia Sue Brinkman of Port St. Lucie, FL. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard Gene and Dorothy Mae (Eastman) Gibson, Sr. of Dayton, OH.

Services: A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, February 17, 2012, at The Grace Place Community Church, 1550 S.E. Salerno Road, Stuart, FL, 34997
