Who really was Darlene Smith?

Darlene loved to travel seeing the beauty of nature and meet people of all cultures which contributed to her well- rounded personality. She always found a way to share healthy spiritual thoughts with others enabling many to overcome negativity and discouragement. Enhancing the lives of those around her.

Darlene was a delightful, spiritually minded woman who made great effort to walk in the footsteps of her master and teacher Jesus Christ. Following scriptural laws and principles in her everyday life. So says her husband Barry, after more than 50 years of marriage. I miss her dearly. She was the love of my life.

Darlene Smith, 71, was born on December 10, 1946, in Buffalo, N.Y. to James and Wilma Ginter.  Darlene graduated from Riviera Beach High school. She was a secretary, art gallery manager and worked as an assistant office manager at a home health care organization.

Darlene loved to knit, she was a writer of children's stories & books. She also enjoyed photography, puzzles, games, and cooking.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Barry Smith of Port Salerno, FL., son, Marcus (Shannon) Smith of Port Salerno, FL. A brother-in-law Dennis Smith of Hiawassee, Ga., many aunts, uncles and cousins that live in western New York State. Close related family, Steve and Jean Reimann. Her very best friend, Barbara Boehringer of Brunswick, Ga. And other close special friends, the Greg Lawson family in Sedona, Az., and the Ken Payne family in Ft. Payne, Al.
