David Eric Seniva, 21, of North Pole, Alaska, left us on an early flight out of this world on March 3, 2018, and is now singing bass with the angels in the heavenly choir. He was welcomed into the world on June 17,1996, in Fairbanks, Alaska, by his parents, Arthur G. and Beth (Heilman) Seniva, as well as his two big sisters, Ris and J, who mothered and befriended him by turn. They would spend hours playing in their playmobil world, tolerating him being the robber and then coming after the bad guys with his police brigade. Sledding at the dike, hauling firewood, and helping build a new house all cemented their friendship which deepened as they grew older.

David graduated from Lathrop High School in 2014, after ten years of homeschooling and two years at LHS. He enjoyed singing in the choir, loved French and travelled to Paris with his French class. You could usually find him hanging out with the international students. After his graduation, he spent three years working at Fred Meyer in Fairbanks to enable him to attend college.

He was known as Eric from birth until he transferred to the classroom in the 11 ^th grade, when he began to answer to the name, David. Regardless of what you called him, he was a genuine, uplifting young man who had a zest for life and in the last couple years had shown a work ethic and maturity level that was commendable. He endeavored to learn something new every day and his motto came from Wayne Gretzky's quote, "You miss 100% of the shots you  never take!".

He attended North Pole Missionary Chapel in North Pole, Alaska, faithfully until he moved to Hobe Sound in August of 2017. He was assistant sound man for the chapel for several years.

Appreciative, compassionate, encouraging, full of humor, intense, inventive, kind, and one of a kind, are just a few of the words that could describe David Eric.

He loved life and anything with an engine, wheels, and/or speed was his delight. His sights were set on becoming a pilot and his focus was to work hard to fund that dream, debt free.

He was recently hired by Sutherlin Nissan in Vero Beach, Florida as a sales consultant.  In the 3 weeks he was there he had sold/assisted selling 10 cars as well as completing the 40+ tests needed to obtain his certification - a task that usually takes 6-12 months.

One of David's newest experiences was finding a girl he could love as much or more than his motorcycle, Angel. This special gal is Kaylee Ann Dykes. He quickly became a part of her family and so looked forward to introducing her to his family. He will be greatly missed by the Dykes, who were quickly becoming his second family, as his love for Kaylee deepened.

Not only in his short time here did he touch people's lives, but even in his death, his influence has reached into the lives of so many others.

David Eric is survived by his parents, Arthur G. and Beth; two sisters, Amy Clarissa and husband, Stephen Mills; Julie and husband, James Riley, and "mini-me" nephew, Daniel Cameron Mills, who was David's shadow; all of North Pole, Alaska. Paternal grandmother, Rosy Seniva, of Eldora, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Wesley and Margaret Heilman, of Circleville, Ohio; uncles, aunts, and cousins; Rachel and Rodney Sones, Bethany and Mark Chong, and Nate of Circleville, Ohio; Lois and Dale Chapman, Kara and Katy, of Knoxville, Tennessee; Loren and Wendy Caviness, Ryan, Matthew and Shaun, of Donnellson, Iowa; Brent and Shawna Seniva, Gabrielle, Noah, Isabelle, Raquel, and Isaiah of Urbandale, Iowa; Ruby and Adrian Hoag, Shauna, Victoria, and Bruce, of Arizona; Gary and Sonya Seniva, Donovan, Lathan, and Cassidy, of North Pole, Alaska; Sandy Lilly, Stephon, Kya, Jordan, of Arizona, and many great-aunts and great-uncles.

He was preceded in death by Uncles Clifford and Robert Seniva; and grandfather Nolan Seniva.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Hobe Sound Bible Church, 11295 SE Gomez Ave., Hobe Sound, Florida.

Contributions in memory of David Eric may be made to Hobe Sound Bible College and designated in the memo line for an aviation scholarship that has been established in his name.

Arrangements are being made by Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory of Stuart, Florida for the service that will be held in Hobe Sound. There will be a celebration of life in North Pole, Alaska, at a later date. Information will be forthcoming.
