David Murray Systrom, 84, of Stuart passed away December 9, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Born October 10, 1931in Newton, MA, he was the son of Ernest and Florence Systrom. He moved to Stuart in 1988, coming from Concord, MA.
David served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was discharged from the Army Reserve in April 1962.
He was a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
David retired as a construction equipment company sales manager.
He was a founding member of Chebeague Yacht Club , Chebeague Island, ME and a member of Miles Grant Country Club, Stuart.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Cynthia Systrom of Stuart; sons, Dr. David M. Systrom, Jr. of Winchester, MA and Douglas Systrom of Orleans, MA; four grandchildren, Kevin Systrom of San Francisco, CA, Katelyn Systrom of San Francisco, CA, Hannah Systrom of Hanover, NH, Conor Systrom of Brooklyn, NY; and sister-in-law, Helen Dykes of Stuart, FL.
