David L. Temple, Jr., 81 of Stuart, FL passed away Wednesday, December 02, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Born May 25, 1934 in Marlborough, MA, he was the son of David L. and Velma (Farley) Temple. He moved to Stuart 25 years ago coming from Ashland, MA.
David was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict Era, he served on the U. S. S. Mitscher (DL-2) and received the National Defense Service Medal.
David was a manager for New England Telephone, he retired after 35 years of service with the company. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Framingham, MA.
He was a Patriots and Red Sox fan and liked watching Indy racing.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Temple of Stuart; son, Bernard Temple, his wife, Jennifer and children, Jacquelyn and Benjamin of Ashland, MA; daughter, Beth A. Tunney, her husband, Joseph, children, Brianna and Luke of Medway, MA; sisters, Anne Gjeltema and husband, Peter of Hudson, MA; Patricia Sawyer and husband, Carl of Turo, MA; nephews and nieces.
