Deborah Lynne Ober, 65, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.
Debbie was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and had been a seasonal resident in Stuart for 16 years, until permanently moving to Jensen Beach 10 years ago.
She graduated in the top 5 of her high school class, earned a BA in English and Education from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. After teaching for a few years in Pennsylvania, she returned to St. Louis in 1980 and earned her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law. She practiced Corporate Law as an Associate with Guilfoil Petzall & Shoemake, LLC in St. Louis until 1990. She excelled at everything she did. She was an accomplished athlete, gardener and chef. A horsewoman in her youth, she remained active in sports throughout her life. She was an animal and nature lover and supported several organizations that furthered these causes. Her life was filled with energy and creativity. She was a devoted wife, sister and friend to many.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Gary P. Ober of Jensen Beach; and her sister, Anne Salvatori and her husband, Allan Salvatori of Stuart. Also cousins Regina and Kim Gremaud of St. Louis, Missouri and Hoboken, New Jersey.
She also leaves her devoted Springer Spaniels, "Emma" and "Tess," and would be honored to have contributions as a memorial made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, 4100 SW Leighton Farm Ave., Palm City, Florida 34990 (www.hstc1.org) or to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, Florida 34997(www.tchospice.org)
