Obituary

On Thursday, June 2, 2016, the world lost a great nurse. Debra Wintz Rose, 58, passed away peacefully at her home in Vero Beach, Florida where she resided for the past two years. Affectionately known as "Debbie, she was born on June 25, 1957 in Bristol, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest daughter of Joseph and Claire Wintz (nee Olsen).

At the age of 23, Debbie began her nursing career at Delaware Valley Hospital in Bristol. A career in which she was born for. Debbie treated all of her patients as if they were her own family. She was the nurse that her family and friends turned to if they had questions, needed a patient advocate or just to be comforted in their time of need.

Debbie was a very artistic and crafty person who would often send to her "grammy girls", handmade cards and seashells from the beach. She loved living in Florida, it was a dream that she had for a long time that she was so happy to be able to achieve. She loved spending time fishing and enjoyed the beautiful beaches of Florida. She recently had another back surgery and was looking forward to living pain free and being able to enjoy Florida with her family.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Claire Wintz; her brother, Joseph Wintz, Jr.; and her beloved canine companion, Booga.

She is survived by her daughter, Meloney and her husband, Manny; her son, Kris and his fianc, Jessica; her sisters, Sharon and Bunny; and her brother, Michael .. Debbie had two granddaughters, that she wanted all to know were the light of her life, Mia and Cierra. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews that she held dear to her heart, Desiree, Jamie, Michael, Crystal, Joseph, Claire, Clarissa and Keira and her great niece Tatum. Debbie is also survived by her furbaby, " Bruzzie".

A Celebration of Her Life will take place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 SW Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida.
