Dianne E Bullen, 81, passed away on July 15, 2019 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Fl.
Born in Washington, DC, she had been a resident of Stuart for 6 years, coming from Poway, CA. She spent her growing years in Washington DC, New York, New Hampshire and Florida.
Dianne studied fine art at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fl. She also attended Vermont Junior College, where she graduated with an Associates of Arts degree.
Dianne worked as an artist at the American Greeting Card Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
In California, her landscape and still life water color paintings were exhibited in Laguna Beach and San Diego Art Institute. She was employed as an architectural Illustrator and painted murals in her spare time. She also worked as a cook and caterer at the Chabad Synagogue in Poway, CA.
After retiring as an illustrator, Dianne took up the art of clay at the Vineyard in Poway. She then moved to Stuart, where she took lessons at the Clay Habit Studio in Jensen Beach. She also entered her art work at the Court House Cultural Center in Stuart.
When Dianne found it difficult to continue painting and clay, she turned her talent into writing creative poetry.
While living at Salerno Bay, Dianne enjoyed the Peace Presbyterian Outreach Program.
Survivors include her son, George Bullen and his wife Janis of Oceanside, CA; her sister Doris E. Saccareccia, her brothers Karl Uhl and his wife Beverly, Franz Uhl and his wife Cynthia, all of Stuart; and Tim Wiley of Kentucky.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, George Bullen and her son Jesse Bullen.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in Stuart, Fl.
