Donal Joseph Brannigan, 75, of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida.

Born in New York City, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound since 2009, coming from Darnestown, Maryland.

Affectionately known as "Don", he is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Kathleen Brannigan of Hobe Sound; four daughters, Brenda Bourgstein and her husband, Jon of Monrovia, Maryland, Barbara and Brianne Brannigan both of Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey, and Beth Luce and her husband, Jon of Leander, Texas; two sisters, Barbara Lachner of Rockaway, New York, and Jane Porter and her husband, Erf of Old Greenwich, Connecticut; and four grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Donovan, and Colleen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saint Christopher Catholic Church, 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455.

In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Saint Christopher Church, 12001-D SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455.
