Donald Baldwin Amato, 89, of Tequesta Fl. passed away on October 8, 2023 at his home.

He was born on September 22, 1934, in Athol Massachusetts and has been a resident of Little Club for over 20 years. Don's passion for flying was clear in the life he lived. At the age of 20 he joined the Air Force. During that time, he served in the Cuban Missile Crisis and flew 78 missions in the Vietnam War. After 12 years he was honorably discharged and started his new career as a commercial airline pilot for American Airlines. Don flew for American Airlines for 26 years, traveling the US and the Caribbean. Once retired he enjoyed his life in sunny Florida.

He was predeceased by his wife Marie and brother Raymond. He leaves behind his 4 children, Steve and Patti Amato, Greg Amato, Joe and Jean Gennari, Donna Amato, his sister, Lucille Swanson Sweet, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Don's Life will take place on October 19th, 2023, at 2 pm at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home.
