Don Butdorf went to be with his Lord on November 15, 2015 after a long battle with Lymphoma. He is survived by his loving wife Carol of 61 years. Don was born in Wooster Ohio January 24, 1931 to Carl and Hazel Butdorf. Following high school, he served in the Air Force as a mechanic during the Korean conflict. He then attended Ohio State University where he received his Engineering degree, subsequently taking a position with Pratt & Whitney in 1958. Don's work at Pratt was integral to many of the engines developed there between 1960 and 1990. Following his retirement in 1991, he travelled extensively with his wife and friends. Through the years he was always active and served at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Word of Life Christian Center, and Christian Family Church. Don and Carol had 4 sons, Steve (Barbara), Ken (Tami), Bill (Kathy), and John (Kim). In addition to his wife and sons, he is survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his brother Phil and sister Janet. His sister Rita preceded him in death. A celebration of Don's life will be held at Christian Family Church 430 Center St. Jupiter FL 33458 on Saturday November 21 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Family Church in Jupiter.
