Donald M. Donahue (the "Whatever" man) passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL on April 5, 2025, (almost made it to 80!).

Donald is survived by his wife Evelyn, daughter Heidi (always a great source of pride to her father) and a sister, June Romao of Wallingford, CT.

Donald was born in New Haven, CT on May 9, 1945, to James and Helen Donahue (deceased).  He also had a brother James Jr. who predeceased him.

Donald had a very full and active life.  He served in the U.S. Army including active duty in Vietnam.  Upon return he became a New Haven Firefighter, retiring with commendations as a lieutenant in 1994.

Having had enough of the cold, the family moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where they enjoyed residing for 30 years.

Donald (a.k.a. Don, Donnie, Don Don and Saigon Don) had a great disposition and a cheerful outlook on life.  His pleasures included watching MASH reruns and bologna (prepared in many different ways).

In Don's memory, donations to any veteran's charity would be appreciated.
