IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald Alva
Wisdom
October 23, 1931 – April 3, 2021
Colonel Donald A. Wisdom, Army Special Forces Airborne Ranger.
Don left this world meeting our Lord Easter Weekend, April 3rd, 2021. Memorial Day was an appropriate time to let people know of Don's passing. It is a special time to remember those who served our country. Don passed away peacefully at home just stating "I'm so tired."
Don served our country for 27 years and was the commander of the 864th Engineer Battalion. Don served as commander for two tours in Vietnam and Korea.
Don is survived by his wife Reba, his brother Edward, son Stephen, his wife Nickie, and grand children, Keegan and Kristen as well as his Stepson Raymond F. Smith IV (Cory) and his wife Connie and grand children Kaylin and Rylee.
Don was responsible for introducing our family to the Bullmastiff which was a huge part
of our lives for many years traveling and showing our dogs in AKC sponsored shows as well as meeting new folks. We are so grateful for that.
After Don's Army service he started his own company in engineering and had his business for many years.
Don will be honored at Arlington National Cemetery with full honors.
Family will be there to honor Don and celebration his life.
Those who wish to attend may contact Reba by email at wordsofwisdominc@gmail.com for information regarding date and time. Don will be missed but remembered forever.
Donations may be made to the American Bullmastiff Rescue Association In Memory of Colonel Donald A. Wisdom.
