Doris A. Capra, RN, 59, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died, Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home.

Born in Lowville, New York, she had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 28 years, coming from her birthplace.

A Registered Nurse, she received her degree from the Saint Elizabeth School of Nursing in Utica, New York.

Doris worked as OB/GYN Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center for many years, and later at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida, as a Certified Breast Care Nurse, until her illness forced her to retire.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew Capra, and his wife, Jacqueline, of Winter Park, Florida, and Joseph Capra, and his wife, Sue, of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Patrick McGrath and Mark McGrath, both of Lowville; three sisters, Cecelia Gracey, of Watertown, New York, Elizabeth McGrath-Scott of Erieville, New York, and Joan Richards, of Jupiter; and three grandchildren, Michael, Joy, and Jasmine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10:00am at Saint Christopher Catholic Church, 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455, with a reception with her family, following the Mass.
