Doris Carrotto, 92, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away after a short illness at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, FL.
Doris was born June 7, 1923 in Old Bridge, NJ, the only child of Emil Lohr and Emily H. Wilms Lohr. She moved to Port St. Lucie three years ago from Texas.
Prior to retirement, she had worked for Cornell University in Ithaca NY.
Her family lovingly remembers her domestic talents, if she couldn't clean it, it went in the garbage, as well as her love for chocolate ice cream and Hershey bars.
Doris is survived by her loving children, "Sandy" Carol Lillis of Port St. Lucie, FL and "Rusty" Frank T. Carrotto of Taylor PA; six beloved grandchildren, Toni, Dean, Lisa, Michael, Jenny, Sara, 14 cherished great grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Frank Carrotto in 1993.
Memorial service will be held at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Old Bridge NJ, early June.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice.
