Doris Madeline Hewitt, 95, of Stuart Florida, passed away on 8/26/2020 at Treasure Coast Hospice Ft. Pierce.  Born in Warrensburg, NY, the daughter of the late Geneva Combs Grinnell and Ernest Grinnell. She has been a resident of Stuart and Hobe Sound Fl. for 33 years coming from Meriden, CT.

Prior to retiring Doris was a production supervisor for the Unimax Company of Wallingford CT.

Survivors include her daughter Gloria Lee, son John Scappaticci and his wife Susan, son in law James A. Cole, her grandchildren Rhonda Cole Silverman, Michele Cole Collins, James R. Cole, Amy Sullivan, Kimberly Mann, Jennifer Beliveau, Kimberly Lavoie and William Krock. Also 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded by her husbands Joseph Scappaticci and Jerry Hewitt.  Also by her daughter Donna Jean Cole, her sisters Eva Hamelin, Lea Wilcox, her brother Walter Grinnell and her great grandson Christopher.
