Doris Marie Schneider passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, after a brief illness. Born in Newark, New Jersey on November 23, 1938, to Henry and Henrietta Mahnken, she graduated from Weehawken High School and pursued a career in nursing at Clara Maas Nursing School. She married George Schneider on June 11, 1960, and settled in East Brunswick, New Jersey, where they had two children, Robert and Donna. In 1971 the family moved to Stuart, Florida where George and Doris opened a carpet cleaning business.

Doris loved to read and craft. She made many beautiful items she enjoyed sharing with others. She lived a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and friends. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 55 years and was very involved in church activities and committees.

She is survived by her son Robert (Laura) Schneider, daughter Donna (Clay) Whitmire, granddaughter Natalie Schneider, and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, George, and her sister Marjorie Betlow.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:30 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, Florida.
