Obituary

Dorothea Patricia Nerbovig Greenlees, born March 19, 1922, in Melstone, Montana,  passed away peacefully at home in Stuart, Florida, with family at her side on January 2, 2021.

Pat is survived by her son Charlie Greenlees (Sharon), daughter Becky Greenlees Buckosh (Cliff), and grandchildren Dawn Greenlees (Richard), Jeff Greenlees, Teresa Leigh, Joseph Buckosh, Michael Buckosh, great grandchildren Lily Rice, Jameson Rice, Hayley Bamford, Kelsea Bamford, Kaitlin Bamford, Colton Buckosh and great great grandchildren Aiden Bamford and Rowan Broadrick. Pat is predeceased by her grandson Jake Greenlees.

Pat grew up in Melstone, Montana, and as a young adult moved to Gresham, Oregon with her family.  In 1944 Pat married Army Lieutenant Joseph Greenlees and then relocated to Stuart, Florida when he was deployed to serve in the Pacific theater during World War II.

In addition to raising her family, she helped her mother-in-law in the Tot & Teen Children's store and worked part time as a bookkeeper.  Pat raised her children in the Presbyterian Church and she was a member of the Stuart Women's Club, Stuart Yacht & Country Club, and the Stuart Garden Club.  Her hobbies were bridge, sewing, genealogy, travelling and golf.  With family and friends, she travelled throughout Europe, China, Africa, and to almost all the USA states including Hawaii.  Combining her love of travelling with her love of genealogy, she travelled to Norway visiting relatives and visiting the family homestead there.  Her many relatives appreciate the Greenlees and Nerbovig genealogy compilations that she wrote.

Pat and her bubbly can-do personality will be greatly missed by family and friends who are deeply grateful for the many years of joy she shared with them!

As no public service is planned, and in lieu of sending flowers, please make donations in her name to her favorite charities Yellowstone Forever ( www.yellowstoneforever.org ) , Boys Town ( www.boystown.org ), Toys for Tots ( www.toysfortots.org ) or the charity of your choice.  The family will celebrate her life privately later this year.

Please feel free to share a remembrance or message of condolence with the family though this online guestbook.
